Kawasaki Dealership First of Its Kind in Us

October 26th, 2011

For anyone who walks into a particular store in Lander, Wyoming will be greeted by rows of shiny new motorcycles and a number of Kawasaki Parts hanging on the walls which all represent the latest technology in bikes made for a variety of pursuits including rides down dirt roads and travel on paved highways. Amazingly, this store in a small Wyoming town is the oldest Kawasaki dealership in the nation and has been in business for decades. The owners of the shop were always been interested in motorcycles and when they were kids in the 1960s, the kids in town all had small bicycles that they would ride around their small town.

The boys often road just outside of town and knew that all of their adventures were made better because they would someday have a motorcycle instead of just a bicycle. The kids always wanted to travel further into the sagebrush desert around where they lived because they knew that there were hundreds of miles of dirt roads that were just waiting to be explored. In their early teens, the boys finally convinced their parents that they could handle a small motorcycle and their parents bought a used machine for them to share. One of them road as a passenger for a year until his legs were long enough to reach the pedals. When the boys were older, they started working in the shop around the middle of the 1970s and soon took over from the store’s original owner.

Paco’s Dad is Putting Up a Skateshop

July 30th, 2011

Paco, this kid that I know who lives around the corner and down the street from where I was currently staying, called me over to his house the other day to show me what his dad was stocking up in his house. He told me that they were putting up a skateshop and they were going to have some longboards for sale there. I told him that I was really interested in the sport and he said that he also heard about this from a common friend of ours. He told me that I wanted a new longboard to replace the worn out one that I was currently using to get around to places, he could probably convince his dad to sell me a board at a good discount. I told him I would check out my bank in the morning and let him know if I can afford to replace my longboard this month.P

My Experiences with the Insanity Workout

June 12th, 2011

I have always considered myself to be in shape. However when I started insanity I realize that I could be much much better shape than I thought possible. The first couple of weeks of trying this workout really kicked my butt. And I mean literally.

However, as I kept on doing better this workout I noticed that my cardiovascular conditioning started becoming better and better. I started seeing muscle where there was no muscle before and I realize that my fat percentage was shrinking almost by the day. I was becoming just as lean as they promised you would get in the instructional video.

I will admit the first few workouts are tough but if you keep at it you are going to feel like a new person. It is going to challenge you in ways you never thought possible.

That is why I highly recommend this product, simply because it works.

What Kind of Extreme Sports Do You Do?

May 24th, 2011

The are a number of sports that I would like to do in the coming year, but some will require some intense training. I was checking out as part of my overall health assessment, protein shakes to lose weight, since I need to lose some weight. I have done well in the past, with losing weight just by getting more active and fit. However, as I age a bit, it seems like I need some help, by using some protein shakes as meal replacements.

I have a good buddy by the name of Darin. He is an all out great guy that loves all kinds of out door activities, including extreme stuff. He did the Baja 500 and Baja 1000 this past year, plus he did a complete marathon. So, I was chatting with him the other day about what kinds of supplements he takes for all of his activities. He said he likes the vegan protein shakes versus ones from milk. He has switched over his diet in the past couple of years and essentially is a vegetarian.

Personally, I will continue my meat intake for the furture, by he gave me some great insights into training. For instance, he sets up a training cycle about 6 months out for his marathon run and by following a consistent and weekly pattern, was able to get up to running a full 26 miles. Crazy guy is all I can say with a smile.

The Similan Islands

December 21st, 2010

The Similan Islands are an easy dive location to visit, located not far from Khao Lak on the mainland. The islands can be visited for a day or onboard a live aboard dive boat. They consist of nine uninhabited islands which are some of the most beautiful in the world. The diving around the Similan Islands is widely recognised as the best in Thailand and it is a fabulous chance to see some endangered species that frequent the charming islands.

Some of the most popular dive sites in the Similan Islands include Honeymoon Bay (a relaxing dive, suitable for both night diving and beginners), Christmas Point (one of the most scenic dive sites frequented by white tip reef sharks), Breakfast Bend (a superb reef with regular visitors including turtles and leopard sharks) and Deep Six which features a collection of submerged boulders with fantastic swim-throughs commonly visited by leopard sharks and manta rays.

Will the Nomad 7 Solar Panel Really Help You?

December 2nd, 2010

Will The Nomad 7 Solar Panel Really Help You? That is a very common question for many consumers and in this article, I will explain to you how and why this specific unit is very helpful for hikers, bikers, campers, adventurers and overall outdoor consumers. Remember; whenever you plan on purchasing solar panels make sure you own the wattage of your device so the solar panel has enough power to charge it.

Now let’s talk about the Nomad 7M Solar Panel. This solar panel is a 7 watt, lightweight, portable solar charger. It has the ability to fold up and pack in your bag type of solar charging kit. You can charge any device like cell phones, GPS units, iPods, mp3 players, cameras and other 7 watt devices.

If you have a camera like a Nikon or canon that supports 7 watt batteries, then this charger is absolutely perfect. I am not just saying that and technically if you have a 7.3 watt battery, you would be able to charge with this solar panel, the only downside is that it will take a little longer to charge. That is not an issue for those who are hiking or keeping the panel outside while doing other things like taking pictures.

If you wanted a solar panel that has a quick connect system where all you have to do is take your USB type device and plug into the panel battery pack. This is perfect for those who have iPods and other mp3 players because they all rely on USB plugs to power up as well as upload via their computers.

This 7 watt solar panel is 30% smaller than comparable panels and has a 5 year life span for those who are constant users. If you plan on purchasing this solar charger, check out liveocfriendly.com they offer great deals and have an excellent website. I love them because they provide other solar battery chargers and that saves me time from having to search so many other sites.

Landing with a Bump

November 28th, 2010

As an ex-gymnast, I always get very excited about going to the circus not the traditional circus with animals and silly clowns, but the new artistic circuses that had appeared in recent years. I absolutely love them. The clowns are truly talented and manage to make their humor seem almost elegant and the acrobats my favorite part are breathtaking. On one particular occasion, the acrobats performed on jumping stilts, managing to turn somersaults while on stilts which I had never seen before. The tricks they performed were incredible and the audience applauded like crazy the whole way through the performance. That night, after the show, I dreamed I was performing on jumping stilts, bouncing high into the air while I twisted and turned on all axes. The audience applauded wildly as I threw myself around, enjoying that familiar thrill of defying gravity. I landed with a bump however when I actually twisted around and rolled out of bed, waking me suddenly from my very vivid and enjoyable dream!

Colours on Fightwear T-shirts

November 5th, 2010

In mixed martial arts, the fightwear worn by many of the fighters it can be split into two distinct types. Monochrome and extremely bright. There doesn’t seem to be any middle ground.

On the one hand, you will find that the urban imagery used with the extremely bright T-shirts is counterpointed by the dark and disturbing symbols that these T-shirts have on them. Often depicting scenes of urban decay, and images such as street fights, jails and aggression.

Set against this, the monochrome T-shirts tend to depict a tribal or more mystic element. Drawing on the mixed martial arts more Eastern influences perhaps. You will also find that the manufacturers of MMA and fightwear T-shirts tend to split along these lines as well.

It is good then to find a niche manufacturer such as Bronsonwear making fightwear which crosses these boundaries and provides the customer with a choice of hard-hitting fightwear designs of various different styles.
