You Only Live Once

It sure does to me. I would love to travel from country to country in Africa and go on an Africa safari in each one. Well, in each one that offers them. Lanzarote is a tropical island that I got to visit when I was only ten years old. All I can really remember is the white sandy beaches and the clear sea that went on for miles and miles. You would be steps from the beach, and it seemed to be so much more of a laid back style of living. After I bought my first villas in Playa Blanca, I could never be happier.

There are many delightful Benidorm restaurants to choose from. When my family first discovered this to be the case, they were both surprised and delighted. My kids were sore afraid that they would not be able to find anything to eat there that they would like. This was the first time that wither of them had traveled anywhere had traveled outside our home country, the United States of America. It was quite an adventure in other ways, but they were able to continue playing it relatively safe at meal times.

Admittedly, they did not branch out much into the traditional Spanish fare, though it was represented fully on almost all of the local menus. They stayed in familiar territory. Benidorm had plenty of American options available to them, as well as favorites from other parts of the world. They already knew they liked Mexican, Chinese, and Italian food, and all three of those types of restaurants were with a few minutes drive of our hotel. My wife and I, on the other hand, wanted to branch out a bit. Our rationale is that we life to try foods that aren’t easily available back home when we’re on vacation.
